Santé Consulting has been engaged by our client, the Department of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine in the Joe R. and Teresa Lozano Long School of Medicine at UT Health San Antonio to assist them in their nationwide search for the position of Director of Anatomic Pathology. This is a tenure track position offered at the Associate Professor or Professor Rank, commensurate with qualifications.

The Director of Anatomic Pathology serves as the physician leader within the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine and will interface with the leadership at this University’s Medical Center. Candidates must have either an MD or MD/PhD degree and have American Board of Pathology certification in Anatomic Pathology or Anatomic and Clinical Pathology, sub-specialty expertise is also preferred.

The organization of the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine is uniquely designed to foster the development of academic careers and has attracted outstanding faculty members in pathology education, diagnostic pathology, and pathology research. The successful candidate will have a record of leadership and experience in clinical diagnostics, administration, research, and teaching at an academic department.  The Director of Anatomic Pathology must have a strong surgical pathology background.
