Director Of Anatomic Pathology
University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio


The Department of Pathology School of Medicine at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio (UTHSCSA) is seeking a Director of Anatomic Pathology with strong diagnostic skills in general pathology. Experience in subspecialty areas (cytopathology, neuropathology, pulmonary pathology, renal pathology, transplantation pathology or gastrointestinal pathology) is highly desirable. The Department of Pathology trains residents and has fellowships in surgical pathology, cytopathology, hematopathology, and transfusion medicine. Opportunities for clinical and bench research are available with colleagues in Pathology and other medical school departments at the NCI- designated Cancer Treatment and Research Center (CTRC) and at the Greehey Children's Cancer Research Center (GCCRI)

The successful candidate will have a M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. degrees and be certified by the American Board of Pathology in Anatomic or Anatomic and Clinical Pathology and demonstrate strong leadership, organizational, team building, and communication skills and have at least 10 years of experience practicing in an academic medical center. In addition, the successful candidate must have recognized scholarly achievements including teaching, an established publication record and a national/international reputation in their field of expertise. Salary and academic appointment are commensurate with the level of experience.
